We were up early today (6 am!), had breakfast, and drove to Calais France. There we boarded a ferry to Dover England, a trip that took about 90 minutes. These ferries are so big. I can't count how many semi & cars drive in before the several hundred foot passengers.
It was sunny when we left France but gloomy & foggy before we were half away across the English Channel.
Our return hotel in London is near Heathrow, making it handy for my early morning flight home. I was glad to be able to talk to people who spoke English, but at dinner I said "Merci" instead of "thank you"!
It's been a grand time & I'm so glad I took this trip. What an experience! I'll be a few weeks sorting through all my photos and I'll upload some of them on my blog in the coming days. I hope you've enjoyed the blogging:)
Got an early wake up again tomorrow as I have to be at the airport at 5 am...thats 11 pm tonight for all of you.
