Photos from Italy

The tomb of St Peter in St Peter's Basilica

Members of the Swiss Army guard the Vatican.

Outside the Vatican on a beautiful sunny day.
Inside one of the Vatican Museums.  The frescoes on the ceiling were amazing.
At dusk, we were shopping the markets along the Grand Canal of Venice.

Bridge of Sighs was so named because prisoners would sigh as they crossed it .

The former palace and a prison connected by the Bridge of Sighs.

What a treat! Really enjoyed weaving through the canals in the gondola.

The tower leans at about 4 degrees.

Mandy, a travel mate from Hong Kong, and I tried to push it up straight. LOL!

Words can't describe the Coliseum.

So unbelievable how such a magnificent structure was built centuries ago.

One view of the remains of the Forum.

At an Italian restaurant, I danced with one of the waiters:)

I threw 3 coins into Trevi Fountain!

I never realized how large Trevi really is.
